Në përkujtim të festës së Zojës së Lurdit në katedralen Shën Shtjefni në Shkodër u kremtua mesha e shenjtë që përkon edhe me ditën botërore të sëmurëve dhe punonjësve të shëndetit. Ndër të tjera në meshën e kremtuar nga famullitari i Shkodrës dom Vlash Palaj për të sëmurët, i bëri një thirrje mjekëve që të jenë më pranë të sëmurëve

Dom Vlash Palaj gjatë predikimit të tij foli edhe për keqadministrimin e Shqipërisë nga politikanët në këto 30 vite gjë e cila ka sjellë vuajtjet e një pjese të madhe të popullit shqiptar

Në meshën e shenjtë për të sëmurët famullitari dom Vlash Palaj bëri thirrje gjithashtu që besimtarët dhe gjithë të tjerët të luten sa më shumë e të jenë sa më afër të sëmurëve, të varfërve dhe gjithë shtresave në nevojë por të jenë edhe sa më pranë Zotit me besimin e tyre
