Zv. ministri i Brendshëm, Besfort Lamallari ka zbuluar se nuk ka qenë kërkesa e tij për të zëvendësuar prefektin e shkarkuar, Çesk Miljes, por ishte një vendim i Këshillit Ndërministror të Emergjencave Civile. Në intervistën e tij të parë në cilësinë e prefektit dhënë për Report Tv, Lamallari shprehet se situata në Shkodër ka njohur përmirësime dhe se qytetarët kanë filluar të respektojnë masat e marra.
“Ishte një përgjegjësi shtesë dhe kushdo që caktohet në këtë detyrë do punojë maksimalisht, do bashkëpunojë me organet vendore për mbarëvajtjen e sigurt. Është vendimi i Këshillit Ndërministror të Emergjencave Civile. Ajo çfarë është e rëndësishme është menaxhimi sa më i mirë i situatës, nuk ka asnjë lloj ndasie apo përkatësie në këtë luftë të përbashkët” tha Lamallari.
Pyetur nga gazetari Besard Jacaj se çfarë do kishte dashur që të gjente ndryshe në Shkodër, ai tha se do preferonte që të zbatoheshin më tepër masat e marra nga qeveria, e ndërsa refuzoi të komentonte nëse kjo gjë ka pasur prapavijë politike. Nuk është koha për politike, shtoi Lamallari, sipas së cilit sot ka një prioritet më të madh se ngjyrimet e flamujve partiak që është shëndeti.
“Gjëja që do kisha dashur që të ishte më ndryshe, do doja të ishte ndërgjegjësimi i qytetarëve dhe bizneset për respektimin e masave, gjë e cila ka ndryshuar! Sot mund të them që situata është e përmirësuar, megjithatë nuk duhet të jemi shumë entuziast. Refuzoj në cdo lloj situate, dalje publike, për hir të interesit madhor, të futem në debate politike, ka kohë për këto”, tha Lamallari në intervistën për Report Tv.
Lamallari mori detyrën më 11 prill, pas shkarkimit të prefektit Çesk Milja, ku në arsyetimin e dhënë nga ministri Sandër Lleshaj ai, si hallkë e pushtetit vendor, nuk kishte reflektuar për kritikat.
