Sot bëhen 29 vite nga Lëvizja e Parë Studentore në vend, nga ajo e 8 dhjetor të 1990-ës. Mijëra të rinj sypatrembur, të arsimuar dhe të vendosur, u përballën në atë kohë me sistemin e egër të komunizimit.
Si nisi e gjitha?
Më 8 dhjetor të 1990 një grup studentësh e pedagogësh të universiteteve të Tiranës, në “Qytet Studenti” u bënë iniciatorë të protestave që sollën pluralizmin, rënien e komunizmit dhe lindjen e demokracisë në vend. Natën e 8 dhjetorit 1990, rreth 300 studentë marshuan nga “Qyteti Studenti” drejt qendrës së Tiranës, ky ishte veprimi i parë i cili solli edhe reagimin e qeverisë së kohës. Fillimisht ata vendosën të bojkotonin mësimin dhe të protestonin për ndërprerjen e energjisë elektrike, kushtet e vështira ekonomike dhe kushtet e vështira që kishin studentët. Shumë studentë nga minuta në minutë i bashkoheshin protestës, por sistemi komunist u përpoq t’i ndante me dhunë atë ditë. Kjo solli edhe irrimin e tyre dhe ata menjëherë rritën edhe kërkesat ndaj qeverisë. Ata kërkuan rikthimin e pluralizmit në vend dhe dënimin e dhunuesve.
“E duam Shqipërinë si gjithë Evropa”, ishte shprehja kyçe e 8 dhjetorit, kur të rinjtë kërkuan ngritjen e sistemit të vlerave perëndimore dhe të shtetit të së drejtës, integrimin në Evropë dhe garantimin e pluralizmit politik. Për 3 ditë me rradhë studentët u shfaqën të vendosur.
Një përfaqësi studentësh e drejtuar nga Azem Hajdari, më 11 dhjetor, shkuan në Pallatin e Brigatadave, ku u takuan me presidentin e kohës, Ramiz Alinë. Në këtë takim u kërkua vendosja e pluralizmin politik, liria e fjalës dhe përshpejtimi i reformave demokratike.
Në këtë ditë Ramiz Alinë konfirmoi edhe pluralizmi politik. Partia e Parë e themeluar në vend është Partia Demokratike. Një nga momentet më të rëndësishme ishte edhe rrëzimi i bustit të Enver Hoxhës në Tiranë.
