Nurellari tha se Shqipëria është prekur nga sulmet iraniane, pasi sipas tij, ka pasur tentativë për të shpërthyer mjete eksplozive në ndeshjen me Izraelin, në Shkodër, por që sulmi u parandalua falë bashkëpunimit të Shqipërisë me SHBA BE, por edhe falë Shërbimit Inteligjent të Kosovës.
Trupat prezentë në Irak kanë qenë aty me mbështetjen e qeverisë irakiene, në formë legjitime, madje kanë pasur rol kyç në dëbimin e ISIS nga territoret e pushtuara brenda Irakut, ndaj nuk është surprizë prezenca e tyre aty. Më tej, Nurellari komentoi dhe deklaratën e liderit suprem të Iranit, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, i cili foli për një vend të vogël në Evropë, që e quajti djallëzor, dhe duket se e kishte fjalën pikërisht për Shqipërinë. Nurellari tha se kërcënimet iraniane ndaj vendit tonë nuk vijnë vetëm për lidhjet e ngushta që kemi me SHBA, por edhe për strehimin e mijëra muxhahedinëve, që shihen si opozita më agresive ndaj regjimit në Iran.
Në këtë aspekt nuk duhet të ketë asnjë lloj pishmanllëku që kemi përkrahur aleatët. Kërcënimi global kërkon edhe kosto, edhe angazhim, dhe nuk mund të bëhet, nëse nuk bashkohemi të gjithë. Ne kemi edhe njëlloj tradite tonën të emigracionit dhe do të ishte e turpshme të refuzojmë azil për tjerët. Unë kam qenë ndër të paktët zëra pro strehimit të tyre, deklaroi Nurellari.
