Servete Hushi nga qyteti i Durrësit, prej 26 nëntorit është detyruar të udhëtoje drejt juglindjes. Mes lotësh që si ndahen për asnjë çast e zërin e dridhur ajo tregon tmerrin e atij mëngjesi tragjik teksa së bashku me familjen përpiqeshin të shpëtonin jetën nga lëkundjet sizmike të së martës, që i morën jetën 51 personave në Durrës e Thumanë.

“Ishim në gjumë. Ulërinë muret. Thamë çfarë është kështu. Thirra gocën. U tmerrua. U futëm poshtë tavolinës.  Na u mbyllën dyert. U bllokuan. Jemi tmerruar, e kemi përjetuar shumë keq. Jam bërë kaq vjeçe nuk kam parë një tërmet të tillë. Nuk duam as lekë, as bukë. Vetëm një shtëpi që të fusim kokën. Një shtëpi duam“.

Tmerrin që kanë përjetuar atë mëngjes e tregojnë edhe banorët e fshatit Borizanë, Mamurras e Kurbin. Ndërsa shtojnë se banesat e tyre janë shembur plotësisht  e tashmë po qëndrojnë në një plasmas së bashku me familjen e tyre, mes të ftohtit. Pas tërmetit 6.4 të shkallës riter, që tronditi Shqipërinë, me qindra banorë janë larguar nga shtëpitë e tyre, për shkak se ato janë bërë të pa banueshme, nga dëmtimet që ato kanë marrë.
