Institucioni bën me dije se dëmtimi ka ndodhur që me datë 13 Prill të këtij viti, përkatësisht 2 muaj më parë, por pavarësisht kësaj, është mjaftuar me njoftimin e organeve kompetente, ndërsa nuk është dhënë njoftim zyrtar apo mediatik për ngjarjen e rëndë
Për më tepër, nuk ka një reagim as nga ana tjetër e organeve ligjzbatuese si policia apo ministria e Kulturës për shkallën e dëmtimeve, autorët e sùlmit bárbar mbi veprat historike pjesë të trashëgimisë shqiptare.

Përgjegjës përpara opinionit publik dhe taksapaguesit shqiptar, sqarojmë Dy kolona të fasadës së fontanës monumentale të Apolonisë janë, fatkeqësisht, dëmtuar dy muaj më parë, gjatë periudhës së izolimit për shkak të Covid 19 Kolonat janë gjetur të thyera në datën 13 prill
Po atë ditë, pas mbajtjes së procesverbalit nga Zyra e Administrimit dhe Koordinimit të Parqeve Arkeologjike Apoloni dhe Bylis, është lajmëruar Ministria e Kulturës dhe është bërë denoncimi në Polici. Ekspertët e kësaj të fundit kanë ardhur në sit po atë ditë dhe kanë konstatuar dëmet në terren. Tashmë çështja po trajtohet nga organet kompetente.
Ndërkaq, mbështetur në konsultimet me restauratorë dhe arkeologë të ekipeve, që kryejnë gërmime arkeologjike në Apoloni, është hartuar nga Zyra e Administrimit dhe Koordinimit të Parkut, një projekt restaurimi, i cili është paraqitur për aprovim pranë Këshillit Shkencor të Institutit të Monumenteve
Pasi ka marrë aprovimin e këtij Këshilli, projekti ka kaluar për miratim dhe në Këshillin Kombëtar të Trashëgimisë Kulturore pranë Ministrisë së Kulturës. Është tërësisht i pavërtetë dhe i paqendrueshëm pretendimi se Instituti i Arkeologjisë nuk ka pasur dijeni për këtë ngjarje, duke qenë se Instituti Arkeologjik ka stafin e vet brenda Parkut të Apolonisë dhe përfaqësues të tij janë anëtarë të Këshillit Kombëtar të Trashëgimisë Kulturore
