Kolegji i Posaçëm i Apelimit ka vendosur që të shkarkojë prokurorin Besnik Canin, duke bërë që me largimin e tij Këshilli i Lartë i Prokurorisë të mbetet me 10 anëtarë. KPA në arsyetimin e këtij vendimi, thekson se prokurori Cani nuk ka bërë deklarim të saktë të pasurisë.
Fillimisht Prokurori, Besnik Cani u konfirmuar në detyrë më 27 nëntor 2018 nga trupa gjykuese e udhëhequr nga Olsi Komici, me relator Lulzim Hamitaj dhe anëtare Brunilda Bekteshi. Dy javë më pas, Cani u zgjodh anëtar i Këshillit të Lartë të Prokurorisë megjithëse kishte probleme me pasurinë.
Por vendimi i KPK për Besnik Canin u ankimua nga Operacioni Ndërkombëtar i Monitorimit (ONM) dhe pas tyre edhe nga Komisioneri Publik të cilët kritikuan vendimin e konfirmimit në detyrë të tij, pavarësisht problemeve të shumta me pasurinë, aftësitë profesionale dhe shkeljen e etikës. Sipas Komisionerit Publik, vendimi i Komisionit të Pavarur të Kualifikimit ishte “kontradiktor dhe jobindës” dhe se ishte marrë në interpretim të gabuar të ligjit.
Një gjë e tillë është kundërshtuar nga Cani, i cili në një seancë të mëparshme tha se nuk po trajtohet njësoj me anëtarët e tjerë të KLP e duke e cilësuar si të padrejtë largimin nga drejtësia pas 26 viteve kontribut.
“Për shumën prej 6 mijë euro kam dokument që janë marrë nga baxhanaku. Kam 26 vite eksperiencë në organet e drejtësisë. Një pjesë e pasurisë si tokë, automjet dhe garazh janë përfituar nga kredi e cila vazhdon akoma të shlyhet. Gjykimi ndaj meje nuk po kryehet i barabartë ashtu si më anëtarët e tjerë të KLP. Kerkoj respektim të të njëjtave të drejta si anëtarëve të tjerë. Nuk është i drejtë largimi im nga radhët e drejtësisë pasi kam 26 vite që kontribuoj, pasi kemi luftuar çdo ditë më krimin e organizuar” mësohet të ketë thënë Cani.
Megjithatë, pas verifikimeve KPA vendosi shkarkimin e tij.
