Komisioni i Pavarur i Kualifikimit ka konfirmuar sot në detyrë kreun e Gjykatës së Posaçme kundër krimit të organizuar dhe korrupsionit Sandër Simoni.
Trupa gjykuese me Brunilda Bekteshin, Roland Ilian dhe Olsi Komicin vendosi të konfirmojë Simonin në detyrë pas analizimit të tre shtyllave të vlerësimit. Sipas treshes së gjyqtarëve, Simoni e justifikon pasurinë dhe ka rezultuar pozitiv në dy shtyllat e tjera të kontrollit, aftësisë profesionale dhe pastërtisë së figurës.
Për kryegjyqtarin Simoni procesi i Vetingut ka nisur që muajin maji të vitit 2018 që do të thotë se verifikimet kanë zgjatur 19 muaj
Sandër Simoni ka mbaruar Shkollën e Magjistraturës në vitin 2000 dhe ka punuar fillimisht si gjyqtar në Gjykatën e Shkodrës. Në dhjetor 2003, Simoni u emërua gjyqtar i Gjykatës së Krimeve të Rënda dhe në vitin 2004 u promovua si kryetar i kësaj gjykate.
Paralelisht me punën si gjyqtar, Simoni është angazhuar në mësimdhënie si në Shkollën e Magjistraturës ashtu edhe në Fakultetin e Drejtësisë. Në fund të vitit 2019, Simoni u caktua përkohësisht kryetar i Gjykatës së Posaçme kundër Korrupsionit dhe Krimit të Organizuar.
