Zjarri shkaktoi vetëm dëme materiale por 5 pacientë pësuan asfiksi nga tymi dhe u dërguan në spitalin e traumës në Tiranë, për mjekim të specializuar dhe ndodhen jashtë rrezikut për jetën.
Shërbimet e Policisë, zjarrfikësit dhe personeli kanë bërë të mundur evakuimin e të gjithë pacientëve nga të katër katet e pavijonit duke i transferuar në një pavijon tjetër.
Pas më shumë se 3 orësh zjarrfikësit ja dolën të neutralizonin flakët.
Gjysma e Spitalit të Durrësit ka mbetur pa energji elektrike dhe riparimi i dëmeve kërkon kohë sipas inxhinierit elektrik të spitalit pasi janë përfshirë të katër katet.
