Festivali i 58-të i këngës në RTSH do të shoqërohej me polemika të shumta përsa i takoi përzgjedhjes së këngës fituese; fitorja diskutohej mes konkurrentes Arilena Ara dhe Elvana Gjatës.
Nisur nga votimi i jurisë, e cila përbëhej nga anëtarë të huaj dhe vendas, fitoren e siguroi kënga “Shaj” e Arilenës. Fill pas rezultatit në fjalë, mbylljes së festivalit dhe publikimi i votave nga juria, reagime të shumta erdhën veçanërisht sa i takon vlerësimit të Elvana Gjatës nga anëtarja Mikaela Minga me vetëm 2 pikë.
Fakti që Gjata u vlerësua maksimalisht nga anëtarët e huaj, nxiti në rrjetet sociale krijimin e një teorie konspirative se votimi nga ana e anëtarëve shqiptarë ishte i qëllimtë për të favorizuar vetë Arilenën.
Shkrimtarja Rita Petro, anëtare e jurisë në festivalin e RTSH-së u shpreh se votimi ishte teknikisht i pastër dhe shumë i sinqert.
“Fillimisht kur na thirrën që do bëheni pjesë e festivalit, nga drejtori i RTSH-së thashë pse jo, u ndjeva shumë e vlerësuar” tregoi Petro duke shtuar se në asnjë moment anëtarët nuk komunikuan me njëri-tjetrin gjatë dhe pas festivalit.
“Gjithë kohës që kemi qenë në festival bisedat ishin te kënaqësia e festivalit, duke dëgjuar këngët harroja që isha pjesë e jurisë, edhe anëtarët e tjerë merrnin kënaqësinë e këngëve. Nuk është diskutuar se cilat janë preferencat e secilit prej nesh, këtë e them me kompetencë. Nuk u bë llogari.
Emri i Elvanës as nuk është zënë ndonjëherë as nga anëtarët e jurisë; edhe kur na mblodhën në dhomë (për të votuar) nuk është zënë në gojë as emri i Elvanës as i asnjërit këngëtar” rrëfeu Petro.
Më tej Petro theksoi rëndësinë e një reagimi institucional:
“Nuk ishim ne që ju thamë na merrni në juri, na thirrën e pranuam u ndjemë të nderuar, duhet një reagim publik institucional, i organizatorëve, çdo gjë është bërë në rregull. Na vjen keq që na ndanë juria shqiptare dhe juria e huaj, të bësh ndarjen juria shqiptare nuk janë të zotët, të korruptuar e kam ndjerë veten të fyer. Deri për Eurovizion ka kohë që të analizohen faktet, të hetohet, të ngrihet një juri tjetër”/abcnews.al
